Description
A Grounded Ritual
Rooted in authentic Moroccan hospitality, The Arar Wood Mabkhara transforms a daily aromatic ritual into a calm, visual experience. Turned by hand from a single block of solid thuya wood, this traditional incense burner is designed to sit quietly on a coffee table or console, bridging ancient aromatics with modern, minimalist interiors.
Functional, Heat-Safe Design
We designed this piece for both beauty and utility. The two-piece construction features a heavy, stable base that houses a built-in, heat-resistant metal basin—ensuring your charcoal burns safely without damaging the wood. The sculpted, domed lid is precisely vented with subtle apertures, allowing the fragrant smoke of your chosen resins to draft upward in a steady, calming plume.
The Material: Moroccan Thuya Burl
Sourced from the Atlas Mountains, the exterior showcases the mesmerizing, swirling grain of native Moroccan thuya wood (locally known as arar). Renowned in the interior design world as a premium burl wood, it features deep, earthy tones and a dense, tactile finish. Finished with a natural, low-luster polish, the piece retains its warmth and a subtle, inherent cedar-like aroma.
